PATIENCE.. LET’S PRACTICE PATIENCE!
Well... here we are. Mid-week.
I know... it's that final push to get us through the rest of the week.
Some of you are facing difficult times (trust me, I can relate). Others are riding a wave of good news, counting down the days until a vacation, a special event, or exciting plans. Whatever your situation may be, I think we can all agree on one thing...
We're all looking forward to the weekend! 😂
But before you rush through today, take a moment to look outside your window. Breathe. Appreciate the beautiful day God has given us. Sometimes we're so focused on getting to the next thing that we forget to appreciate the gift of today.
Now... let me tell you about the lesson I learned this weekend.
Yesterday I was driving through Oxnard, reflecting on the series of insane decisions I made over the past few days. Looking back now, I can laugh... but at the time? Not so much.
You see, my hairstylist has been out for nearly two months after injuring his wrist. I've known him since I was 13 years old, and for the last few years he's been the only person I trust with my hair.
My roots had grown out halfway down my head, and I was over it.
He recommended one of his coworkers, but I didn't want to spend the money because I was trying to save. So, in my stressed-out, emotional state, I convinced myself I could handle it.
"I'll just do it myself."
Famous last words.
Friday, I bleached my roots. Orange.
Saturday, I bleached them again to get lighter before applying my blonde color—but I ran out of time because I had to bartend a quinceañera.
After work that night, exhausted but determined, I applied the color anyway.
Let's just say... I looked like a human highlighter. Bright orange with patches of yellow everywhere.
Sunday rolled around, and instead of admitting defeat, I listened to someone at Sally Beauty who, as I later found out, wasn't experienced with color correction.
Strike three.
By then, I had already spent close to $200 trying to fix something that would've cost less had I simply waited.
Finally, yesterday I waved the white flag and paid a friend to correct my hair.
Was it fixed?
Yes.
Did I get the blonde I originally wanted?
No.
Instead, I had to settle for a much darker color—completely opposite of what I envisioned—all because I let impatience make my decisions.

🌟 Mid-Week Challenge
This week, before making a decision out of frustration or emotion, pause.
Take a breath.
Pray.
Think it through.
Ask yourself:
"Am I making this decision because it's the right one... or because I'm tired of waiting?"
Sometimes the best move you'll ever make... is no move at all.
Stay patient.
Stay faithful.
Your timing is coming.

"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him." — Psalm 37:7
